The Booth Centre is a drop-in and activity centre for homeless people. The centre opened in May 1995 and is based in Manchester Cathedral. This centre aims to provide positive experiences in order to help people to build self respect and make positive changes in their lives.

How do they achieve their objectives?
- Offer advice to help people resolve their problems.
- Provide a base for activities which are creative, therapeutic, challenging and enjoyable.
- Give people help to move on to education, training and employment.
How MKDoc does to make and manage the site.
- Personal Pages. Some people at the Centre have created their own pages, with photos, text and links they are interested in. This is part of a project carried out in the photography, English and Computer sessions at the centre in 2002
- Arts work upload. This enables participants to upload their work onto the site.
- Photography. Participant can upload photos taken during their activities and add optional descriptions and comments for each.
- Music download. These are the samples made during the weekly music workshops held in 2002 autumn, involving the use of computers, mixers and electronic keyboards.
- Online statistics tables and timetables allow browsers refer to their events timetable and visitors analysis.
- Links. These are the resources for researching homelessness and contain the latest news.
